last update 2025-11-06 16:00 Acba bank and the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU), within the framework of the “Clean Future for Lake Sevan” program, jointly carried out a cleanup of one of the lake’s shores from plastic and waste. This time, Acba bank employees were joined by their family members.
As a result of the effort, one of Lake Sevan’s shores was cleared of waste and household garbage, which was then sent for recycling.
“The goal of the program is not only to clean the area from plastic and other waste and raise public awareness, but also to study the collected waste. We aim to understand what types of waste are found here so that we can work to prevent Lake Sevan’s pollution in the future. The waste that can be recycled is separated today and sent for processing,” said Narek Grigoryan, Head of NABU’s Armenian branch.
The partnership between Acba bank and the German Nature Conservation Union has a history of more than ten years, during which numerous joint projects have been implemented, from programs promoting the development of organic agriculture in Armenia to initiatives aimed at rural tourism growth and environmental improvement.
