On April 21 unprecedented concert will take place in the Chatelet theatre in Paris, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the genocide in the Ottoman Empire in the 20th century.
The concert is organized by the Armenian General Benevolent Union with the support of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, Embassy of France to Armenia and the RA Ministry of Culture, under the high patronage of the Presidents of Armenia and France.
The musicians of the Armenian origin, playing for the best musical groups over the world, have joined temporarily into the World Armenian Orchestra in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. The conductor is the world-famous conductor of the Armenian origin Alain Altinoglu. During the concert the works by composers Michel Petrosyan and "Requiem" by Mozart will be played, accompanied by the choir of “Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation”.
This unprecedented event is aimed at strengthening of the Armenian Genocide in the global memory of humanity to prevent repetitions of similar future genocides. The concert may become the symbol of the European and world unity to combat the denial of the Armenian Genocide.
