Within the framework of the “Clean Future for Lake Sevan” program, Acba bank, in cooperation with the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU), contributes to the cleaning of Armenia’s largest water resource from plastic and other waste.
As part of their volunteer work, the bank’s employees cleaned more than 2 km of coastal area, sorting plastic and other waste, which was sent for recycling.
Acba bank has joined this initiative as part of its corporate social responsibility to contribute to the development of an environmental culture and environmental protection in Armenia.
“Our important goal is to have a 100% clean Armenia. The Sevan basin is a part of it, and we should all try to achieve it through our efforts. Here, we not only carry out work to clean the area from waste, but also carry out sorting and monitor its further processing,” said Anna Hovhannisyan, head of the “Clean Future for Lake Sevan” project, representative of NABU Armenia.
The "Clean Future for Lake Sevan" project is implemented in cooperation with NABU, FPAN and ISSD, with funding from the German Foreign Ministry.
