For the second time, Acba bank has participated in the Bug Bounty cybersecurity competition in Armenia. The goal is to identify and fix vulnerabilities and gaps in the digital platforms of banks and technology companies operating in the public sector.

Acba was the first in the banking system to provide its acba digital platform for such testing last year. With this step, Acba once again reaffirmed the high level of security of the acba digital system. This year, Acba bank participated in the competition with its offensive cybersecurity team, aiming to uncover vulnerabilities in the systems of partner organizations.

“Technologies are constantly evolving, and naturally, we must remain vigilant because the consequences can be critical. Acba is the only financial institution in Armenia certified with the ISO 27701 personal data management certificate, which also demonstrates the Bank’s commitment to protecting customer data and the technological solutions it employs for that protection,” said Vagharshak Iskandaryan, Director of Information Security and Cybersecurity at Acba bank.

“The vulnerabilities that these people find here are also being sought by our hostile neighbors. And while they search in order to harm us, our actions aim to eliminate these risks. This is a defensive action, one of the most effective defensive actions imaginable,” said Ruben Muradyan, admiral of the Bug Bounty competition jury.

“Over the years, Acba bank has been with us, helping and supporting CyberGEN by bringing various experts to Armenia who are ready to share their knowledge with us. For us, knowledge sharing is crucial,” noted Komitas Stepanyan, Director of IT and Cybersecurity at the Central Bank of Armenia.
