Cybersecurity Week in Armenia ended with the Bug Bounty competition, where Acba bank’s cybersecurity attack team was recognized as the best.
During the competition, Acba bank’s cybersecurity attack team discovered the most vulnerabilities in the digital platforms of partner organizations.
“As a result of the event, our team identified vulnerabilities, after the elimination of which, the banking applications of our partners will be more protected. This is a systemic problem in the field of cybersecurity, and the vulnerability of each one affects all of us. Through this, we increase the security of the banking system,” noted Vagharshak Iskandaryan, Director of Information Security and Cybersecurity at Acba bank.
“This is the second year we are organizing such an event, but this year the teams were much stronger. Acba bank’s team took first place. Last year, Acba bank participated as a ‘target’ organization, encouraging experts to test its systems and find vulnerabilities, promising rewards for discoveries, and ultimately strengthening the bank,” noted Komitas Stepanyan, Director of IT and Cybersecurity at the Central Bank of Armenia.
“I believe in evaluating by results: Acba bank took first place, Krisp’s team came in second, and the Central Bank’s team placed third,” said Ruben Muradyan, admiral of the Bug Bounty competition jury.
