Ahead of the Silicon Mountains 2025 technology summit in Yerevan on October 14, the organizers presented the event’s new format and this year’s key speakers to media representatives. The summit will be held within the concept of “The Anatomy of Artificial Intelligence.”

During the meeting, the organizers, speakers, and guests of Silicon Mountains 2025 discussed both the positive and negative aspects of artificial intelligence applications, the impact of emerging technologies on business and society, as well as the prospects for the development of the field in Armenia.

One of the supporters of the summit is Acba bank, which has been implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in its operations since 2020 by establishing a specialized unit. This initiative made Acba one of the pioneers of digital transformation in Armenia’s banking sector.

“We created a dedicated team and infrastructure to integrate our in-house developed models into the bank’s operations. Today, AI and machine learning models are already embedded across various areas of the bank, from credit decision-making systems to document processing, sales, customer advisory, and service processes. In essence, AI is everywhere, and we continue to move forward in this direction every day,” said Tigran Simonyan, Deputy CEO and Director of Digital Platforms and Technologies at Acba bank.

“At Silicon Mountains 2025, we will explore how artificial intelligence is being applied across different sectors of the economy, not only in Armenia but also globally. The goal is to identify which industries are successfully leveraging advanced technologies to achieve better results. Silicon Mountains serves as a platform to address these questions and showcase opportunities from around the world that we can adopt locally,” noted Eduard Musayelyan, Executive Director of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE).
