Acba bank joins the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials
2025-07-03

As one of the leading institutions in Armenia's financial and banking sector, Acba bank bases its decisions on environmental and social management principles. The bank evaluates the environmental impact of its own operations by assessing its Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, aligning its practices with international sustainability standards.

Taking all of this into account, the bank has decided to join the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF).

The Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) is a collaboration between financial institutions worldwide to enable harmonized assessments and disclosures of greenhouse gas emissions financed by loans and investments. With more than 500 financial institutions from six continents, the group is rapidly expanding in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

Acba bank membership of PCAF aligns with the Bank’s ESG Strategy (2025–2028), which is centered on contributing to Armenia’s sustainable economic growth and advancing the transition to a green economy. Joining PCAF is a strategic step that supports Acba bank’s ambition to become a climate-neutral institution and a enabler for low-carbon development in Armenia. It enables the Bank to better understand the climate impact of its financing activities, integrate climate risk and opportunity analysis into decision-making, and align its climate-related disclosures with international best practices and regulatory expectations. By joining PCAF, Acba bank takes another decisive step toward its goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2035 and becoming a trusted partner in Armenia’s green transition.
