Payment cards are not only convenient, but also a safe tool for securing your money while traveling. Unlike cash, losing a card does not mean losing money, as you can block your card with just one phone call and replace it very quickly.

Just do not forget to follow our tips.

1. Before leaving:

• Check the expiry date of the card
• Make sure you have enough money in your account
• Remember that there is a limit for the maximum amount of payment per card, the maximum amount for receiving daily cash and the maximum number for receiving daily cash
• In order to avoid rejection of the transaction after exceeding the mentioned limits, add them in advance if the set limits do not satisfy you
• Write down the 16-digit number of your card and all the phone numbers (presented below) you can call in case your card is lost or stolen abroad.

2. During the trip:

• Before using the ATM, make sure that your card details are not visible to people nearby
• In case of confiscation of the card in the ATM, try to apply to the bank that owns the ATM. If the bank refuses to return the card upon presentation of the identity document, call ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, which will take care of returning the card to you
• When making a card payment, before signing the receipt, make sure that the amount indicated on the receipt corresponds to the amount of your transaction
• Save receipts for card transactions and when returning, compare them with the transactions in your statement.
