Online shopping allows you to make convenient purchases from online stores with a wide variety of products, which often offer more affordable prices than regular stores. In addition, to use certain services, there is simply no other means of payment other than a payment card.

It is recommended to follow these tips when making online payments:

  1. Use only sites whose URLs start with "https" or have a "Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)" cryptographic protocol
  2. Ensure the privacy of your passwords
  3. Ensure the privacy of your card information
  4. Fill in your payment card details only when shopping on websites, under no circumstances for any other purpose
  5. Do not ignore the "Terms and conditions" page of the online store
  6. Before making a payment, carefully read the terms of delivery and return of goods in the given online store. Check who will pay for the delivery of the goods and make sure that the purchased goods are subject to return in case of any conditions (for example in case of defective or incorrect delivery of the goods). Check whether the given online store delivers goods to Armenia or not
  7. Check whether it is possible to make a payment with the cards issued in Armenia in the given online store
  8. The websites secured by 3D Secure technology allow the cardholder to be perfectly identified when making internet payments on the sites bearing the "Verified By Visa" logos, as each payment must be confirmed by a one-time code sent to the cardholder via SMS to the mobile phone number registered with the Bank. Only if you enter the correct code will it be possible to confirm the transaction with the card. With this method, card fraud becomes practically impossible.
